Uniko partners with the National Bank of Greece (NBG) on loan financing for the property you are interested in. Simply fill out the online expression-of-interest form on the Uniko platform, and an NBG representative will contact you promptly in order to provide you with the appropriate information regarding the features of the financing service.
You can apply for a mortgage loan to finance:
A specialised consultant of the National Bank of Greece will contact you to provide support on which loan best suits your financial profile and housing needs.
The loan term can be up to 40 years, provided that the youngest borrower, with personal income, does not exceed the age of 75 at loan maturity
To obtain the loan, you must agree to register a mortgage on a property of sufficient value, in line with the bank’s applicable policy at the time
There are no hidden costs. All charges are clearly stated on the National Bank of Greece website and communicated transparently by its specialised consultants. Information is provided on all terms and characteristics of the loan.
You can choose from:
  • ✔️A fixed interest rate for the entire duration of the loan, or
  • ✔️A fixed rate for the first 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years followed by a floating rate based on the 3-month Euribor plus margin, or a fully floating rate for the entire loan term. Keep in mind that the floating rate varies depending on the fluctuations of the base rate and may, therefore, increase or decrease your instalment amount. Also, the applicable levy of Law 128/75 is added to the loan interest rate.
You will definitely need to insure the mortgaged property against key risks (fire, earthquake, etc.). You are free to choose the insurance company you prefer.
The method of disbursement of the loan depends on the purpose of financing. Specifically, the loan is disbursed:
  • ✔️In a lump sum, if the purchase of a completed house is financed.
  • ✔️In installments, if the construction, completion, repair, or purchase of a house under completion is financed. In this case, and after the disbursement of the first installment (advance), an engineer who collaborates with the bank checks the progress of implementation and the legality of the relevant works before each subsequent disbursement of the loan amount.
Once you have received final approval for the mortgage loan, the following steps take place:
  • ✔️Contract signing
  • ✔️Securing of collateral
  • ✔️Loan disbursement.
Once the formalities have been completed, an NBG representative will contact you regarding the date on which you wish your loan to be disbursed and the funds to be credited to your deposit account.
You repay the loan in monthly instalments (principal and interest), starting one month after the date of the first disbursement. Your instalment is collected automatically on the same date each month from the linked NBG account you already maintain or will open with the bank. By registering for NBG’s digital banking services, you can manage these transactions quickly and easily.
You can adjust your loan instalment to your needs by choosing:
  • ✔️An initial period of paying interest only for the first 1 or 2 years.
  • ✔️ Skipping the payment of one installment each year, starting from the 2nd year of repayment.
You receive a monthly statement with loan information. Additionally, if you register or are already a user of the Bank’s Internet Banking, you can subscribe to i-bank statements to receive email notifications regarding the status of your loan.
Yes, you can repay your entire loan or part of it early, without any charge.
Each month, the Bank will send a payment notice to the address you have provided, unless you have registered for the Bank’s Digital Banking i-statements service. Your instalment will still be collected automatically, as specified in your loan agreement, from the bank account linked to your loan.
Of course. By paying your instalments on time, you earn Go For More points, provided that you have a debit or credit card issued by the National Bank of Greece and are enrolled in the Go For More program.
